Where to Begin?

I am a current student at Sheridan College ( HMC). I am majoring in accounting and possibly might stream to fashion or anything that has to do with art.

Let's start with my topic, Flower Arranging. A few people have asked me this,"Flower arrangements? what does that have to do with business?"  In every prestigious events there will always be flowers. Weddings, Graduations, etc. You can can count on Flower Arrangements to brighten  any event . Also, knowing someone who works at a flower shop, I can tell you that Flower Arranging  is not simply just sticking random flowers in a vase.  In case you didn't know, Flower arranging is  classified as a form of  art. The term for it is " Ikebana".

Ikebana comes from the Japanese meaning “arranged flower.” It is sometimes also referred to as kado, which means “the way of flowers.” Ikebana is minimalist in style and when you are selecting flowers for arrangements, you should take into consideration the shape and form of the stems and leaves as well as the flowers.

Ikebana can be done by anyone, you don't have have to be an expert to do it. Here is a video of the  basics :

Flower Arranging can be a profitable and rewarding hobby. You can charge as much as $30-50. It depends on the flowers you used and if your clients like it.

Well, that's it for today.
